Meet Natasha: A Creative Force in Ripple’s Design Team
At Ripple, we pride ourselves on having a team of talented and passionate individuals who bring their unique skills and perspectives to the table. Today, we’re excited to introduce you to Natasha, one of our dynamic Graphic Designers.
From her early inspirations to her ambitions for the future, Natasha’s journey in the world of design is a testament to her creativity, dedication, and drive to continuously grow in her craft. We decided to sit down with Natasha and find out all about her love of graphic design.
- Could you introduce yourself and tell us about your role with Ripple?
I’m Natasha, a Graphic Designer at Ripple. I work alongside our senior designers and the rest of the ripple team on a wide range of design projects, creating both appealing and effective designs, both digital and print, that meet our clients’ needs.
- What inspired you to pursue a career in Graphic Design?
I always knew I wanted a job doing something creative, I just didn’t know what. It was actually my high school art teacher that said I would make a good graphic designer because I was super picky over all my work. I decided to pursue graphic design after that because it sounded fun, it was creative and each day would be a different challenge.
- Could you share some of the key responsibilities or tasks that you complete in your current position?
I participate in a wide range of design projects from concept to completion, working with the rest of the team. We work from given briefs and create designs across a range of channels, such as posters, email campaigns, presentations, social media content, brochures and so much more. I have to listen to clients and try and meet their needs and prepare final artwork for digital or print.
- What aspect of your work do you find most fulfilling or rewarding?
I love seeing my work displayed, there’s nothing better than driving about or scrolling on your phone and being able to say ‘I did that’ and the bragging rights that come with it.
- From your perspective, what skills or qualities are crucial for success in your position?
Passionate about design, dedicated and motivated to learn. Graphic design is constantly evolving with different trends, styles and even the technology and software that we use. So, I think it’s important to have a drive to keep learning and practising and I think you have to be truly passionate and dedicated to design to do so and to enjoy it.
- Can you highlight any notable achievements or milestones from your career that you’re particularly proud of?
Getting my first-degree honours in creative imaging and then landing a graphic design job straight after graduation. My first design job was in sign manufacturing company and on my first day I designed and printed out my very first sign that is absolutely terrible but I still get to drive past it every single day. Not long after that I got my job here at Ripple which is think is every design graduates dream, to work in a design agency.
- If someone were interested in pursuing a career in Graphic Design, what advice would you offer them?
Keep creating, keep learning, keep improving.
- Outside of work, what interests or hobbies do you enjoy in your free time?
Anything arts and crafts related especially crocheting and drawing. I also have a slight lego obsession and am constantly adding to my collection.
- Can you share a fun or interesting fact about yourself that others might not know?
I love my coffee, so much so that I have it tattooed on my inner lip.
- Looking ahead, how do you see your role evolving, and what are your long-term goals?
To keep learning and developing on my skills as a graphic designer, to become more efficient and produce more work I am proud of and to work on larger projects. I’d also love to see my work up on a big billboard someday, that’s the big goal.
Natasha’s journey from aspiring artist to accomplished Graphic Designer at Ripple highlights the importance of passion, continuous learning, and creativity in the graphic design field. Her commitment to honing her craft and her ambition to work on larger projects make her an invaluable asset to our team.
As Natasha continues to grow in her role, we’re excited to see where her creativity will take her next and look forward to watching her achieve her goals, one design at a time.
