Welcome to Ripple, Ryan

At Ripple, we believe the best design solves problems as well as looking good. That’s one of the many reasons we’re delighted to welcome Ryan, our new Senior Graphic Designer, to the team.
Ryan joins us with a strong background in branding, marketing and digital design, including almost four years with Keylite in the construction industry and more than five years at sportswear brand Playr-Fit. Along the way, he’s designed everything from marketing campaigns and web graphics to product visuals and social content.
So, what attracted him to Ripple?
“The variety of design work, the opportunity to keep developing, and the chance to work with different businesses and different people.”
It’s that curiosity that makes Ryan a natural fit. He’s at his happiest when a brief calls for creative thinking or a fresh way of communicating something that hasn’t been seen before.
“Working with clients and solving problems is the part I enjoy most. I like finding new ways to visualise ideas that wouldn’t normally be shown that way.”
When asked what makes great work actually work, Ryan’s answer is refreshingly practical.
“Creative ideas, teamwork, communication and attention to detail all matter. But sometimes it just needs to do what it says on the tin.”
Ryan also brings strong organisation, excellent people skills and an eye for the finer details that can elevate good design into great design.
Of Ripple’s three values – Tireless, Fearless and Formless – Ryan identifies most with Formless.
“I think I can adapt to any situation when required, and I always try to find the best solution for everyone.”
Looking ahead, he’s excited to keep building his skills, work across a wide range of brands and industries, and continue growing in confidence as part of the Ripple team.
Outside the studio, Ryan enjoys five-a-side football, is getting into running, spends plenty of time watching sport or on the PlayStation, and is happiest when hanging out with his dog, Milo.
One final fact that might surprise people?
Despite being a designer, he doesn’t drink coffee or energy drinks.
