Unilin’s technical expertise is central to their brand. It just needed a place to live and grow. Plus, they wanted to do more than showcase products; they wanted to share knowledge.Ripple transformed two existing innovation centres into branded spaces for learning, collaboration, and connection.
The result: Discovery Hub: a hands-on, immersive environment for industry learning.
Discovery Hub gives architects, students and specifiers the opportunity to explore and experience the technical considerations and solutions that ensure insulation is specified and installed to perform exactly as designed, and see insulation innovation in action, first-hand.



Challenge
As Unilin transitioned from Xtratherm, they needed to unify and elevate their substantial technical exhibition spaces in Navan and Chesterfield. Each site was packed with valuable content but lacked consistency, flow, and brand identity.
Our challenge was to reimagine these environments as a cohesive learning experience - one that clearly communicated Unilin’s expertise, sustainability focus, and partnership approach to specification




Process
We began with the idea of discovery: the perfect word to capture Unilin’s technical curiosity and customer-first approach. From this came Discovery Hub: a name, identity and messaging platform built within the wider Unilin Group brand framework.
Ripple developed both the naming and brand device, ensuring the new identity fit seamlessly within Unilin’s global guidelines while standing strong as a sub-brand of its own. Our team audited both sites, mapping layout, flow and content, before designing an immersive visual system using video, lightbox graphics, stretched fabric displays and fret-cut signage to create layered storytelling and visual consistency.
To bring the identity to life, we directed a full photography and video shoot, capturing learning in action - from toolbox talks to CPD sessions - and produced supporting marketing assets, digital campaigns, and email communications to drive bookings and engagement.



Outcome
Discovery Hub now stands as a flagship learning destination for Unilin - where technical expertise, sustainability, and human connection meet. Architects, merchants and students alike can experience Unilin’s innovation up close, reinforcing the brand’s reputation as a trusted, forward-thinking industry leader.
